In November and December, Le & Associates Career Building Center provides the trainees with these courses concentrating on Sales, Soft skills and Management skills.

          This conference, sponsored jointly by Le & Associates (L & A) and HCMC Young Businessman Association on August, 29th 2007 at the Rex Hotel, to address outstanding issues standing in the way of bilateral trade and investment relations to develop to its full potential. It was attended by some 60 business representatives and reporters from the news media.

         The panelists include professionals who have both exquisite expertise and experience in the bilateral relations and in business dealings with the States: Mr. Trương Trọng Nghiã –Director of HCMC Trade & Investment Promotion Centre; Mr Lương Văn Lý - General Director of DNL Partners (Former Vice Director of HCMC Planning & Investment Department); Mrs. Phạm Minh Hương – Director of Export of Phong Phu Garment; Mr. Trần Phi Hùng – Vice Managing Director of Unlimited Financial Network (Texas); and Mr. Tran Si Chuong, Managing Principal for Strategic Advisory of Le & Associates.

         The panelists generally acknowledged the enormous potential of doing business with the States, at the same times alerted the remaining many challenges facing Vietnamese businesses wishing to do business with and in the States - from legal, customary business norms to language barriers, current status of bilateral economic and commercial relations, to marketing, dispute resolution. The audience was lively engaged and the Q&A session went well over the time allotted.

        The one consensus reached was that America is a potential but very complicated market. From the experiences of the countries that had successful and longer experience dealing with the U.S., companies need to prepare to learn well about “how to do business in America”, to be informed and to identify the niche markets where Vietnamese enterprises have competitive advantages. Expert consulting services are also needed to save time and costs.

        This conference is one in a series that Le & Associates periodically organize for its clients and the business community at large. In May this year, L & A held highly popular and well-attended “Doing Business with the U.S.: Must Know how to Lobby” conferences in both HCMC and Hanoi.

        In coming October, another will be held in HCMC on “PR Strategy: How to Avoid and Handle Mishaps?”

On November 25^th 2006, Training & Consulting Department of Le & Associates held successfully the first part of the course”Biết mình biết người, trăm trận trăm thắng”. The trainees attended were directors, HR managers from many companies in different industries. The course introduced a new approach that complements to the human resource maintenance and development process of companies.Through the multiple choice test on personal characteristics and behaviour, each trainee recognized trend of behaving, conducting, thinking, motivation, strong and weak points of themselves. Besides, trainees were also equipped specialized methods, strategic tools to assess the organization, carried-out work result, staff competence in order to maximize the efficiency in using companies’available resources. Lecturer Lâm Minh Chánh, MBA (Sydney Technology Institute) and FLMI ( LOMA, USA) also instructed trainees to improve weak points relating to the issue of human resource management, helped to solve difficulties trainees had at work but not yet found out optimal solutions.

When the class finished, Ms.Hoàng Việt Hương- HR Manager, expressed her feelings: “The most interesting thing is that I understand more about myself, the course helped me know how to make use of the human resource to bring the best efficiency to the company.
